Experienced show jumper SIG Chiari is sold

October 16, 2025 at 5:54 PMBy n.ditter

The experienced Oldenburg gelding SIG Chiari, by Cristallo II x Landadel, has changed hands. The American show jumper Kyle King has sold the horse to the Canadian rider Amara Gottwald. SIG Chiari will now continue to compete internationally under the Canadian flag.

Successful years with Kyle King

SIG Chiari, who was trained by Jana Wargers and Michael Cristofoletti (Italy) in his early years, joined Kyle King's stable at the age of nine. The gelding developed into a reliable and successful sport horse at the highest level, particularly in the 1.50 m jumping classes at five-star competitions. In recent years, the pair have regularly achieved top ten placings at major events such as Spruce Meadows and Thunderbird Show Park. Their last international performance together was at the prestigious Spruce Meadows 'Masters'.

New chapter for SIG Chiari under Amara Gottwald

Amara Gottwald, who has made a name for herself on the international show jumping scene, will now shape the future career of SIG Chiari. King made the decision with a heavy heart, as he himself reported on his Instagram channel.
