The final spotlight of the day at The Show Place Arena belonged to the NAL Adult Hunter Finals, presented by Lauracea, where 28 qualified horse-and-rider pairs vied for the championship sash after a season of hard-fought points.
Consistency Leads the Way
When the last scores were tallied, it was Kendall Casaccio of Marmora, NJ, who rose to the top aboard her own Freya D’Ambel. The pair impressed judges Mark Jungherr and Sissy Wickes with consistent style, earning an 86.5 in the first round and matching that effort with another 86.5 in the second round. Their combined 173.5 points proved unbeatable, securing them the victory.
Tight Scores for the Top Three
Just fractions behind, Devon Corrigan piloted Twin Oak Ventures LLC’s Park City to marks of 84.75 and 88 for a two-round total of 172.75, finishing as the reserve champion. Rounding out the podium, Kelly Champion guided Lily Claire Hedley’s Lost King to scores of 85 and 85.5 for a combined 170.5 and third place.
A Composed Finish
Casaccio’s steady performance with Freya D’Ambel highlighted the importance of precision and composure in a final where the pressure was on, making their win a fitting close to an exciting day of competition.
