American Combinations Selected for 2025 World Championship in Verden

US Equestrian has announced the combinations that will represent the United States at the 2025 World Championship for Young Dressage Horses, scheduled for August 5-10, 2025, in Verden, Germany.
The selected pairs will be accompanied by Christine Traurig, the Dressage Technical Advisor and Chef d’Equipe for the U.S. Three pairs successfully obtained qualification scores and have committed to the largely self-funded trip to Europe.

The competitors include pairs in both the 5-year-old and 6-year-old categories. In the 6-year-old category, O Romeo S and Onassis distinguished themselves by achieving significant national results at Wellington during the winter. O Romeo S recorded a high score of 83.2%, while Onassis achieved an impressive high score of 89%.
Both horses also took part in the international young horse classes at the 2025 Global Dressage Festival. During their performances, Roffmann and Onassis scored 80.00 and 80.20 in their first and only CDI show at the end of March. Additionally, Cooper rode three CDIs with O Romeo S, achieving scores ranging from 78.20 to 83.80%.
This event highlights the commitment of American riders and horses as they prepare for international competition.
