There’s no slowing down Alex Matz and Cashew CR. The red-hot combination struck again, blazing their way to the top of the $62,500 Welcome Stake at the CSI4* Upperville Colt & Horse Show.

Facing off against a field packed with international horsepower, Matz and the scopey gelding delivered a lightning-fast, foot-perfect round that left the rest chasing their dust.

This win marks yet another milestone in what’s shaping up to be a standout season for the pair. With precision in the turns and throttle down in the gallop, Cashew CR proved once more that he’s a fierce competitor—and Matz is riding with confidence, purpose, and no sign of letting up.

Upperville may be one of the oldest shows in the nation, but the energy this duo brought was anything but old-school. Keep them on your radar—they're just getting started.
