Irish young show jumper Tom Wachman was presented with the Longines FEI Rising Star Award at the FEI Awards 2025. The award recognizes exceptional achievements by young equestrian talents under the age of 21 and was presented to Wachman at the official ceremony.
Successful milestones on the way to the international top
At just 20 years old, Tom Wachman has already firmly established himself on the international stage. In his young career, he has won three team gold medals at the European Championships: 2019 in the ponies, 2023 in the juniors and 2024 in the young riders. He was also part of the Irish team that won the silver medal at the FEI European Championships for Young Riders, Juniors and Children in Riesenbeck in 2025. The 2025 season marked another milestone for the Irishman, as he competed for Ireland at several CSIO5* events for the first time, where he made a decisive contribution to team success.
