The second week of the Winter Classic series at World Equestrian Center – Ohio kicked off with a competitive field in the $10,000 Welcome Prix 1.35m, where Samuel Pegg dominated the leaderboard with a one–two finish.
Pegg Secures the Win
Riding Comme Cartani, Pegg delivered a polished and efficient round to secure the top spot. The pair navigated the track with precision, setting a time none of the remaining competitors could match. Their performance showcased the gelding’s scope and rideability, along with Pegg’s confident form heading into the weekend’s feature classes.
One–Two Finish for Pegg
Pegg kept the momentum rolling by taking second place aboard Casey H, further proving both his depth of talent and the strength of his string. Each ride demonstrated consistency and control across the technical track.
Godek Completes the Podium
Kama Godek and Charissa secured third place, rounding out the podium with a strong effort that kept pressure on the leaderboard.

WEC Ohio’s Winter Classic #2 continues throughout the weekend, offering riders valuable opportunities for mileage, experience, and prize money as the indoor season progresses.
