Jana Wargers cancels start at the LGCT Super Grand Prix in Prague due to injury

Jana Wargers will not be taking part in this year's Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix as part of the GC Prague Playoffs. Due to an injury, she had to cancel her start at short notice, reducing the starting field to 15 riders, as gcglobalchampions.com.

Withdrawal from the final due to injury

Wargers had qualified for the prestigious final in Prague this weekend by winning the LGCT Grand Prix of Riyadh. Her qualification remains in place; however, there is no provision for a successor as the final starting lists have already been submitted. This means that this year's Super Grand Prix will be held with a field of 15 top riders.

Wargers told gcglobalchampions.com that she was very sad not to be able to take part. A minor injury is preventing her from doing so, but she is confident that she will soon be back in the saddle. At the same time, she thanked her team, the Basel Cosmopolitans, and the Straumann family for the excellent opportunities this year.
