Sharn Wordley (NZL) stole the spotlight in spectacular fashion to close out Week V of the 2025 Summer Series at World Equestrian Center – Ocala, delivering a commanding one-two finish in the $50,000 Hampton Green Farms National Grand Prix.

Out of 38 top combinations, Wordley proved unstoppable aboard Mick Jagger and Valentine Car, both owned by Della Wordley. With course designer Peter Grant (CAN) setting a thoughtful, technical track that produced 12 clear rounds, the stage was set for a fast-paced jump-off—and Wordley came ready.

First to return on the 17-year-old Hanoverian gelding Mick Jagger (Chacco-Blue x Centina 10), Wordley laid down a blazing trip in 39.711 seconds, a time that would go untouched through the remainder of the class.

Returning last with Valentine Car (Son of Juan Car x Sofia Car)—the 16-year-old gelding who just won Friday’s $15,000 Welcome Prix—Wordley gave his own time a serious run for its money. He stopped the clock at 39.777 seconds, just fractions slower, securing both the top two spots on the podium.

Tracy Fenney (USA), last week’s Grand Prix winner, delivered another stellar ride aboard MTM Can Talk To Me, a nine-year-old Holsteiner mare owned by Nina Koloseike. Their round clocked in at 39.783 seconds, just hundredths off the pace, earning them a well-fought third place.

The class capped an electrifying week of sport in Ocala and cemented Wordley’s reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the Grand Arena.
