Shane Sweetnam Pilots Coriann van Klapscheut Z to Wellington CSI3* Grand Prix Win

Two-time Irish Olympian Shane Sweetnam piloted Coriann van Klapscheut Z to victory in Wellington International CSI3* Grand Prix Sunday.

Shane and the nine-year-old gelding set a sizzling jump off time of 44.5 secs. to log the horse's first CSI win since taking over the ride at the beginning of the year. Since then, the pair have competed in the USA and Europe, including second place in the CSIO5* Allianz-Prize at Aachen, Germany.

Germany's Rupert Carl Winkelmann on the 12-year-old gelding Imodo was runner-up on 44.65 secs.

Natalie Dean of USA on the 12-year-old gelding Con Calma was third on 46.86 secs, one of five combinations to go double clear in the starting lineup of 45 entries.
