Daniel Bluman and Corbie V.V. raced to victory in the $340,000 Kubota 5* Grand Prix on Saturday night, closing out an impressive week at Major League Show Jumping (MLSJ) Toronto. The Israeli rider followed up his team triumph on Friday with an individual win, making it a standout Leg 2 of the 2025 season.
Course designer Olaf Peterson, Jr. set a challenging eight-horse jump-off, but Bluman’s Cornet Obolensky x Chacco Blue mare, owned with Abigail Wexner, was unbeatable. The pair stopped the clock at 44.33 seconds, narrowly edging out World No. 1 Kent Farrington and Toulayna, who finished second in 44.44 seconds. Lillie Keenan rounded out the podium in third aboard Le Louvre 5, posting a time of 47.62 seconds.
Bluman’s victory also pushed his franchise, Maccabi United, to the top of the Season 5 team standings, three points ahead of the Trelawny Trailblazers, and earned the team a $50,000 bonus as the leading franchise of MLSJ Toronto.
