What Is Major League Show Jumping?

Major League Show Jumping (MLSJ), also known as The League, is a high-caliber team-based CSI5* series spanning top venues across North America—including Canada, the U.S., and Mexico. Designed to elevate the sport, The League brings together elite riders for thrilling competitions in both indoor and outdoor arenas.

How It Works:
  • Up to 8 professional teams compete at 7–15 CSI5 events* throughout the season.
  • Each event features a team competition with a fast-paced, jump-off format—perfect for spectators.
  • Teams earn points at each stop, culminating in a season final where both individual and team champions are crowned.
  • Riders can also compete individually for FEI Longines Rankings points.
The Format:
  • Team events include three phases: a qualifying round, two jump-offs, and a high-stakes Podium Jump-Off.
  • Only three riders per team, and every round counts—no drop scores.
  • Riders and horses must be at their best; strategic planning is key with start orders and substitutions.
The Stakes:
  • $50,000 team bonus awarded to the top team at each leg.
  • Teams earn points toward season standings through the Qualifier, Team Event, and Grand Prix.
  • Final points count double—and the champion team walks away with major bragging rights (and prize money).

With non-stop excitement, international talent, and fierce rivalries, MLSJ is redefining North American show jumping.
