The $75,000 The Fix Grand Prix at World Equestrian Center – Ocala (WEC) brought forward 29 entries on Saturday night, culminating in a fast and closely matched nine-horse jump-off. In the end, it was Sharn Wordley (NZL) and Brin D’or De Haute Melen Z who delivered the decisive round to top the leaderboard.

A Technical Track from Oscar Soberon

Course designer Oscar Soberon (USA) built a technical first-round track that challenged riders with tight turns and careful questions. Nine combinations advanced to the jump-off, setting the stage for a quick and tactical finish.

Early Targets Set the Pace

Ryan Michael Genn (USA) returned first to establish the opening clear in 50.929 seconds aboard Venezia D’Austral Z. Wordley soon followed with his first mount, Hagelin, cutting significant time to take over the lead in 42.306 seconds.

A Constant Shuffle at the Top

Robert Blanchette (IRL) and last week’s winner Chardonnay produced a strong effort just behind the leading time. Rowan Willis (AUS) then moved into the top position aboard Billy Mc Dermit with a 41.976-second performance.

Quick Rounds Keep the Pressure High

Richard Spooner (USA) answered with an even tighter track on Belle Esprit, briefly claiming the lead in 41.935 seconds. Willis returned once more on Just A Cheeky One’s For Dilando PS, reclaiming the top spot with a fast and efficient 41.358 seconds.

Wordley Closes the Night with a Winning Ride

As the final pair to return, Wordley and Brin D’or De Haute Melen Z delivered under pressure. A smooth, forward ride and efficient track put them across the timers in 41.228 seconds, securing the win by a narrow margin.
