Trailblazers Back on Top in Greenwich

CSI5* Major League Show Jumping Greenwich

The Trelawny Trailblazers know a thing or two about winning, and in Greenwich they reminded everyone why they’re the reigning back-to-back MLSJ champions. The $262,000 Trelawny Farm 5* Team Competition brought the best squads in the league to the Dixon Oval, but when the dust settled, it was once again the Trailblazers standing tallest on the podium.

Their lineup was a perfect mix of consistency and firepower: Conor Swail (IRL) with his tried-and-true Casturano, Nayel Nassar (EGY) aboard speed specialist Ivory TCS, and the returning Natalie Dean (USA) on Oasis van de Bucxtale. Swail set the tone in the first round, posting the team’s only clear to keep their chances alive. In round two, Nassar matched the effort with another faultless ride, pushing the Trailblazers into a gold-medal jump-off.

It came down to Dean versus Vanessa Hood (ISR) of Maccabi United. Hood piloted FBW Graphik with trademark precision, but a rail and slower time left the door open. Dean delivered, securing the Trailblazers’ first team win of the season.

Maccabi United, with Ilan Bluman (COL) on Phelina de Septon and Mark Bluman (COL) aboard Acajou, walked away with silver but maintained their lead in the overall standings. The fight for bronze came down to Helios versus Team KPF, with Rene Dittmer (GER) sealing the deal for Helios aboard Corsica X after edging out Rodrigo Pessoa (BRA) on Dhalida in the jump-off.

With three legs complete, Maccabi United stays just ahead in the series, but the Trailblazers are charging hard—only three points behind. Helios sits in third, 20 points back, still very much in the hunt.
