Shannon Stevens Rocks the 2025 Dance-Off

One of the most anticipated crowd-pleasers at Dressage at Devon returned Saturday night: the third annual Dance-Off in the Dixon Oval. Riders Adriane Alvord, Jim Koford, Shannon Stevens, and Silva Martin swapped their traditional attire for outrageous costumes and unscripted freestyles, riding to contemporary music they hadn’t heard before.

A Battle of Style and Spontaneity

The format was simple but thrilling—two rounds of head-to-head battles, with the winners returning for a final Battle Royale under the lights. A lively panel of judges, including professional break dancers, George Williams, and Janet Foy, delivered real-time commentary and kept the audience cheering throughout.

A Rock-and-Roll Win

This year’s crown went to Shannon Stevens, who stole the show in a black rocker outfit topped off with a wild blonde wig. Judge Janet Foy, in particular, couldn’t help but rave about the hair, adding to the laughter and applause from the crowd.

A Devon Tradition of Fun

The Dance-Off once again proved why it’s a fan favorite at Devon—equal parts competition, creativity, and pure fun.
