Mark Bluman and the 11-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare Phelina de Septon were second, and Tom Wachman rode the 10-year-old Selle Francais gelding Genghis Khan to third place in the 1.40-meter class.

Classes this early in the week can be warm-up classes for later in the week for some competitors, especially considering the number of top riders and horses who left the ring with time faults.
