One thing at a time! Training young Horses.

Training young horses isn't an easy task! Most of the time they don't actually know better so keeping a cool head is important. Instead of telling the horses off when doing something wrong, Hughes advises to just make it uncomfortable for them, in order to steer them in the right direction. Another tip is to break your training down. Train your canter on a circle and just ride along on a straight line. One day you'll notice that you're suddenly able to train on the long side as well. After all, “they've got to learn to read and write before they can start to form a sentence”.
