Top horse - London 52
Only a handful of horses in modern eventing have captured the attention and admiration of fans quite like London 52. With an extraordinary list of achievements and a partnership built on trust and finesse, the 15-year-old Holsteiner gelding (Landos x Quinar Z) has justifiably earned his place as our Top Horse of the Month.
Ridden by British star Laura Collett, London 52 has become a dominant force on the international circuit. Most recently, he headlined Great Britain’s victory at the first leg of the FEI Eventing Nations Cup™ 2025 in Bicton, helping the team secure a decisive win with a confident, composed round. His exceptional performance across all three phases, dressage, cross-country, and show jumping, proves why he is a true championship contender.
London 52’s résumé reads like a dream. The pair’s most iconic achievement came in 2021 when they claimed the individual title at the European Championships in Avenches, Switzerland. In the same year, they were part of the gold-medal-winning team at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. These accolades were no surprise to those who had been following his ascent, as he had already won multiple prestigious events across Europe, and he continues to be a standout on every start list, with his bold cross-country performances, careful show jumping, and powerful presence in the dressage arena.
Beyond the stats, it’s the partnership between Laura and “Dan” (as he’s known at home) that sets them apart. Their bond is evident in every phase, whether they’re gliding through a dressage test or attacking a tricky cross-country combination. London 52 isn’t just a winner—he’s an athlete with heart, brains, and undeniable class.
