This month’s Ride from FEI Originals presented by Longines hails the hardy Welsh Ponies of Hilin Stud in North Wales, and offers a flavour of France, following the famed Florac Endurance ride in Cévennes National Park and visiting the vineyards that border Bordeaux, where the art of horse-drawn ploughing prevails. 

In dressage, true success is often found in a horse’s heart and character as much as in its natural talent, and few horses embody this better than Jagerbomb. Bred and brought up by Becky Moody, this bay gelding by Dante Weltino has become a shining example of perseverance, partnership, and steady progress in the sport.

Though his early years lacked the flash and spark typical of some, Jagerbomb’s unwavering work ethic, calm temperament, and willingness to please have made him a beloved and reliable partner. The FEI Eventing Nations Cup™ 2025 is in full swing, bringing the excitement of team competition to one of equestrian sport’s most demanding disciplines. As the only annual global team series in eventing, it offers a unique opportunity for national teams to test their depth and strategy across all three phases: dressage, cross-country, and show jumping.

Running from May to October, the 2025 season features nine legs across Europe, beginning in Bicton (GBR) and concluding in Boekelo (NED). Each event presents a crucial opportunity for teams to accumulate points toward the overall standings.

Each venue offers a distinct challenge and character, from the technical questions in Poland’s Strzegom to the iconic atmosphere at Boekelo. Spectators can expect thrilling sport, national pride on display, and the kind of teamwork that defines eventing at its best.

Glorious Great Britain gain Longines League of Nations™ crown

In an exhilarating competition that went down to the wire with a sensational jump-off, Di Lampard’s reigning Olympic Gold-Medallists, Great Britain once again claimed top spot on a championship podium as they were crowned Longines League of Nations™ Champions for 2025. Their final score of 16 faults after the two rounds of competition saw them tied for first place with geographical neighbours Ireland, initiating a first Longines League of Nations™  jump-off.
