Developing a Young Pony for Future Competition

Establishing clear communication and confidence is the priority in this session with a green but willing pony. Still early in his program, the gelding is learning to stay in front of the leg, respond promptly to subtle aids, and maintain balance in new surroundings. The focus remains on rhythm, suppleness, and gradual preparation for more advanced movements, all while keeping his mindset calm and engaged for a young rider’s needs.
