Woodlander Stud - Lynne Crowden

Lynne Crowden and Woodlander have over twenty-five years of successful International warmblood breeding, with horses competing and sold all over Europe. Our emphasis is breeding for dressage and our hand-picked broodmare herd has successfully delivered stallions and competition horses for every rider from Novice to Grand Prix. Our credo is to breed with only the best mare families and this has delivered a high level of reliability in our programmes. We are always happy to share our knowledge with new and aspiring breeders and take pleasure in the number of “start-ups” that have founded their breeding with our mare families. We have bred and produced some twenty stallions, mostly licensed with internationally recognized associations, such as the Hannoverian and Oldenburg Studbooks and may be best known for breeding one of the most famous dressage mares of all time, Woodlander Farouche, a double WBFSH Young Horse Champion at five and six years, with a yet to be beaten final score of 98.88%. In 2019, Lynne was recognized by the Hannoveraner Verband for her breeding success and her support to the society in the UK and was awarded the highest possible Gold Medal. Now in partnership for livery services with our long-time colleague, Carsten Sandrock, we are focused on offering the breeder and rider, horses of international quality for breeding and sport. In sport, we have well over 120 Woodlander horses registered with British Dressage including GB Team horses, Grand Prix horses, and winners of Young Horse Championships. In Germany, we have provided successful rides for Young Riders and mature amateurs and have also been responsible for high performers in Hengstleistungspruefung. Customers buy foals, youngstock, and young horses under saddle and can count on our support as they follow their ambitions. In breeding, we offer always a portfolio of young and more proven stallions standing at stud, with a modern choice of bloodlines and competitive stud terms. We also have available youngstock – colts and fillies - from our best families that could give you entrée to similar success.
