The North American League of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ is well and truly underway with the first leg under our belt already. The competition in Traverse City  saw American Kent Farrington emerge victorious with his gorgeous grey mare, who is fittingly called Greya, on a score of 37.19 seconds in the jump off!

This month, Ride from FEI Originals presented by Longines brings you another eclectic mix of equestrian anecdotes. We marvel at the majesty of the Czech Republic’s Kladrubers at one of the oldest National Studs and visit Europe’s leading veterinary practice specialising in equine dentistry before hailing the UK’s high-stepping Hackneys at Stapleford Stud in Essex.

We bore witness to quite the spectacle over this past weekend with brand new World Cup™ champions being crowned in the oasis that is Riyadh. It was complete and utter Swedish domination in both the dressage and show jumping with Swedish riders taking home the title. 

The dressage saw nine-time participant of the FEI World Cup™ Final Patrik Kittel emerge victorious in the Grand Prix Freestyle aboard Touchdown, with Denmark's Nanna Merrald and Germany's Isabell Werth right behind him. Meanwhile, the show jumping had Henrik von Eckermann crowned the champion with King Edward, allowing them to hold onto their title for one more year. Von Eckermann had dominated throughout all three competitions, but second and third place experienced a little re-shuffling with Sweden's Peder Fredericson conceding the silver medal to France's Julien Epaillard.
