Working young horses: From bend to collection
Hubertus Schmidt is a guest in Friedrichshulde as part of the event series "The Old Masters®". In the first training session he works with Ragna and her 6-year-old mare. Both have already competed in elementary and medium class dressage tests for young horses. The focus of the training is clearly on the loosening phase, the correct bending and posture of the horse. Furthermore, the two work on collecting the horse and securing the flying changes. The aim is to improve the horse's suppleness and to gymnast it optimally. Especially: In each training session Hubertus Schmidt explains a lot of theory behind the lessons and how to work them out.
