The brown Stenagers Valerian is a half-brother to the participant in the World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses (UVM) and international Grand Prix horse, Stenagers Wyatt Earp (Wilkens), as well as the elite mares Stenagers Donna (De Noir) and Stenagers Wencke (Wilkens). Valerian hails from the same mare line as numerous elite mares and medal-winning mares, including the gold medal mare Stenagers Latoya (Leandro). Within the family, there are also the international dressage horses Stenagers Odessa (Blue Hors Don Olymbrio), Kamar's Don Noir Hit (Blue Hors Don Romantic), and Stenagers Sirius (Sieger Hit).
