Bred by Vincent Cousins of Kilcandra Stud, she is by the thoroughbred Financial Reward out of Bonnie Dolly by the thoroughbred Bonnie Prince. She was acquired in Ireland from her former rider Alex Kennedy five-years ago. Her breeder also bred Susie’s 4* ride Kilcandra Capitol. Clever Trick’s dam Bonny Dollie is also the dam of Michael Jung’s 4* winner Kilcandra Ocean Power.
