Born in Lower Saxony in 2008 to the breeder Dr. Hilmer Meyer-Kulenkampff, who has been breeding with this mare line for eight generations. Chipmunk came to Julia Krajewski at the age of five. The pair went on to have a successful career. Victory at the 2013 Bundeschampionate was followed by entry into international sport. The pair recorded their first three-star victory in 2016. In Marbach, in the highly demanding CCI3* Bramham and in the Aachen Soers, the pair secured the Golden Ribbon before travelling to the USA for the 2018 World Championships. There they achieved the best dressage result, but missed out on a top placing due to a fault in the cross-country. Following the World Championships, the contract between the rider and the horse's breeder and co-owner, Dr Hilmer Meyer-Kulenkampff, ended in October 2018 and was not continued for personal reasons. Chipmunk moved to Michael Jung in 2019. Although there was a great deal of interest from abroad, Chipmunk was secured for Germany. His owners are the DOKR, Michael Jung's main sponsor Prof Klaus Fischer and Chipmunk's breeder Dr Hilmer Meyer-Kulenkampff. Chipmunk wins Olympic gold in Paris 2024 with Michael Jung.
