Giving the horse the best chance to use it's body over the jump
In this video we can see two quite different horses in the training with Henrik von Eckermann. The training took place at the first day of the Showjumpers Academy in Belgium. The aim of this lesson is to give the horses the best possibility to use their body over the jump. According to Henrik von Eckermann it is less about the perfect distance to the jump, but rather the ideal preparation. Finding a good rhythm and riding good turns are crucial for a perfect jump.

Henrik von Eckermann is a Swedish showjumper who has already represented his country at several championships and became team olympic champion in 2021. Until 2016 he was a rider at Ludger Beerbaum Stable, then he started his own sport stable close to Bonn in Germany.
