On 1 February, the presentation of the Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping GmbH breeding stallions kicks off at 2.30 in the Neumünster Holstenhall.
Many have not seen Cahil by Cornet Obolensky, bred and owned by Manfred von Allwörden, Grönwohld, in real life yet. All breeders and friends of the Holsteiner horse are now given the opportunity in Neumünster on the first Saturday in February, as the Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping Gmbh has secured the lease on the phenomenal 2019 champion stallion same as on the reserve champion stallion Chinchero by Chopin, whose ownership passed to Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann and Jürgen Fitschen at the grading. These two stallions as well as Fidano by Fidertanz, Soleto by Somersby, Charaktervoll by Comme il faut and Dubliner by Dinken of the same age will be shown in an age-appropriate presentation under saddle as well as free jumping. The more developed four-year-olds as well as the older stallions will jump a short course under saddle. Here you’ll meet again stallions the Holsteiner breeders are pinning high hopes on, the likes of Castle Creek by Casall and Crack by Cornet Obolensky, same as Catch, who is now being produced at the yard of Rolf-Göran Bengtsson. It would not be complete without the successful (international) show jumpers Clicksem by Cardino, who boasts an impressive fan base in Holstein, Quibery by Quintero or Zuccero by Zirocco Blue. Others, like Clarimo by Clearway, his son Crunch, Diarado by Diamant de Semilly, Livello by Limbus as well as the TB stallion Fragonard by Dashing Blade are shown in hand, and now fife-year-old Goldball by Goldberg is to be shown to the breeders in dressage. “I think we do have a wide range of top stallions we can offer to our breeders this season”, says Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping GmbH executive director, Norbert Boley who is to comment the stallions along with Tjark Nagel, ex-show jumping rider and now internationally renowned trainer and producer.
But not only stallions will be in the spotlight in Neumünster during the afternoon: The focus will also be on the breeders which else tend to stay in the background, as the Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping GmbH will award prizes to the breeders of the most successful showjumping four-year-old and older offspring by Verband stallions – 1000 euros to no. 1, 750 euros to no. 2, 500 euros to no.3, 200 euros to no.4 to 10, each, and 50 euros to no. 11 to 50, each. In each age group, the breeder of the most successful offspring is given a challenge trophy, a Casall statuette created by artist Heike Landherr, to be awarded in the Holstenhall arena. “This award is a thank you to the breeders who have decided for our stallions”, says Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping GmbH executive director, Norbert Boley.
