Horses are the stars at the World Equestrian Festival CHIO Aachen and the show ground in Soers is their stage. The best horses in the world will be at the CHIO Aachen - the "World Equestrian Festival". And beside the best horses, also the best riders in the world can be found on the back of these horses. Then we hear "let the show begin" in the disciplines jumping, dressage, eventing, driving and vaulting.
CHIO Aachen - Red carpet for the horses
At the World Equestrian Festival CHIO Aachen the stars will be the horses, the red carpet will be rolled out for them in the Soers. Therefor it's just consistent that the winning horses of the CHIO Aachen get their own "Walk of Fame" - with a hoof print on the ground instead of a star. "Horses first, then the humans" said director Frank Kempermann with a smile.
CHIO Aachen looks forward to many visitors
More than 350,000 visitors surge to the CHIO Aachen at the tradition-rich ground in the north of Aachen every year. More than 600 journalists will report about the competitions to the whole world. But not only about the competitions, because Aachen is much more than just horse sport with the CHIO Aachen, namely, an occasion, a folk festival and a big party. That's the "World Equestrian Festival" CHIO Aachen year after year.
