International Show Jumping of Megève - Edmond de Rothschild FROM 12TH TO 17TH JULY 2016  

Pour la 6ème année consécutive, Megève accueillera du 12 au 17 juillet 2016 le Jumping International de Megève - Edmond de Rothschild.
Après 5 éditions, cet événement est devenu un rendez-vous très attendu du public et plébiscité par les cavaliers français et internationaux de renom comme Laura Kraut (US), Carlos Lopez (COL), Natale Chiaudani (IT) ou encore Nick Skelton (UK).

Le Jumping International de Megève - Edmond de Rothschild, c’est une trentaine d’épreuves pour amateurs et professionnels qui excellent sur la piste pour le plaisir des nombreux visiteurs (25 000 visiteurs chaque année) venus assister au spectacle.
6 jours de compétitions et de fête au coeur du village, qui accueille pour l’occasion 350 cavaliers d’une vingtaine de nations différentes et leurs 500 chevaux.

 For the 6th year running Megève is host to the International Show Jumping of Megève-Edmond de Rothschild. Over six days of competitions and festivities, the entire village will be stirred by the enthusiasm and competitive spirit of the unique horse show in the French Alps.

A prestigious event, accessible to all

With about twenty nations participating, 350 amateur and professional riders and over 500 horses, this top-level sports event is today a much awaited rendezvous attracting around 25,000 visitors each year.

Located in the heart of the village, on the Sports Centre Esplanade, admission to the event is entirely free of charge, thus popularising and making show jumping more accessible, and attracting a public of both amateurs and experts, which creates a festive ambiance greatly appreciated by both French and International riders.

Prestigious competitions and riders

The event includes 10 CSI*** competitions, of which four count in World rankings, a CSI* and two days of Amateur and Club competitions.

Over the years the event has attracted some of the greatest names in show jumping, such as the French riders Michel Robert, Alexandra Paillot, reigning French Champion and Simon Delestre, number 1 in the World today, but also the Colombian Carlos Lopez, American Laura Kraut and Italian Emilio Bicocchi, winner of the CSI*** Megève - Edmond de Rothschild Grand Prix in 2015.

The organising association “Megève en Selle” places great importance in assuring that this stylish and mass appeal event retains its place among the major events of the summer. The Megève - Edmond de Rothschild International Show jumping undeniably resonates well beyond our borders, unifying lovers of equestrian sports and summer visitors seeking vivid memories.
