Pearl is a tall, long lined nearly BLACK mare who has a lot of presence with her gorgeous
neck set and four little socks. Under saddle she jumps in great form and shows a lot of
natural ability, she has a very good start under saddle and loves her people and to work
with them. She has been off the farm for schooling and has been super and is now
jumping small courses and even offering her changes. Pearl will be a lovely hunter
derby, Eq or jumper and will be ready to start her show career with her new person in
the new year. Although green she is very safe for nearly any level of rider and is plenty
big enough for a tall rider.
Sire: Don Quixote has been producing amateur friendly mounts who excel in both the
hunter and jumper rings. His oldest is a winning children’s hunter in the US and
although he doesn’t have a huge number of offspring, they have all gone on to very
competitive careers and are much loved by their mainly amateur owners. Don Quixote’s
three half brothers are all competing and winning in the hunter and jumper rings, up to
1.35m and the National hunter derbies. Don Quixote himself was unfortunately injured
as a yearling so has never been able to prove himself in sport.
Dam: Vertigo Z competed up to 1.50m in Europe and 1.40m here in North America. She
was as brave as a lion in the ring while still being incredibly careful. Her oldest foal in
NA is being campaigned up to 1.15m so far and the next oldest is just 5 and a full sister
to Pearl who has been very straightforward and easy and is competing in the jumper
ring. We have retained one other daughter as a broodmare. The dam-line is very
interesting and is full of good moving jumpers.
