The first appearance of young jumping talents from year 2011 vintage happens on april 9. At the westphalia jumping competitions organized by the seven districts. Over  14 dates , the riding horses have qualified with a score of 8.0, including all riding ponies , small horses and Haflinger with a score of 7.5 for the finals in Münster- Handorf . In addition, small horses stallions of other associations are permitted, provided they were licensed in Westphalia.  

For the finals on Wednesday , 9 April 2014, 75 horses and 34 ponies are expected. They have one thing in common : They have the best jumping blood and are from proven parents. Points are scored by the young talents in three departments ( 1 mares , 2 stallions / geldings , 3 ponies ) . Particular attention is paid to the descendants of the younger sires . Premiere with offspring from their first vintages have the stallions a'Lee Spring Power , Cathanos , Colestus , Con Solor vd H. , Contano , Conte Lido, Cristallo II , Polansky and Tamango at this year's free-jumping finals .  

Some big jumping careers have started in recent years in Münster-Handorf, often to the international show jumping course. For example, Gut Neuenhofs Cimba v. Clinton / Galoubet A with Ludger Beerbaum and the Swede Henrik von Eckermann, or Cornet Obolensky / Damokles son Confident of Victory (breeder: Wilhelm Schulze-Buxloh, Hamm) with Tobias Meyer and the British Joe Whitaker, who catched the audience’s attention on  international competition places. The winner of the Free Jumping Finals 2008, Peking Queen v. Peking / Arpeggio (breeder: Hubert Hempen, Warendorf) has already won several international competions with Caroline Clement.  

Judges at finals are Peter Schmerling and Heiner Engemann.
