The next auction sale on the Holsteiner Verband calendar is scheduled for 21 August, when the elite foals of the year 2021 will be put to auction. 64 lots have been secured for this top event by head of marketing Roland Metz and his team.
A diverse mixture of star sires like for example Casall, Clarimo, Cornet Obolensky, Vingino or else Tangelo van de Zuuhthoeve is complemented by a selection of very special young sires, some of the presenting their first crop. Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann’s young talent, Chinchero, is being represented by as much as five athletic foals. Just recently the four-year-old had attracted attention for realizing very good prices at Hof Waterkant’s auction sale while his sire was preparing for the Tokyo Olympics with Mathilda Karlsson (SRI). The foals by Crack, the reigning Holsteiner state champion, are not from his first crop, but of exceptional quality, as well. The six-year-old is represented by four sons and daughters in the elite auction sale, same as Vingino, himself a proven top level sport performer. One of them is hip no 35 by Vingino-Uriko. This filly of modern make and shape from mare family 890 is out of a half-sister to Casall, the Holsteiner studbook’s top ambassador competed by Rolf-Göran Bengtsson at the London Olympics in 2012. Numerous lots of the collection stand out in particular for their dams, like for example lot no 1, a colt commanding attention for carrying Chacco Blue on top of his pedigree and Kannan and Chin Chin on the dam’s side. The dam of this youngster called Coelho is no other than Goya van’t Roosakker, one of the most-sought after mares in Belgium, and a half-sister to illustrious names like European championess Cella by Cento (Ben Maher) or Equador van’t Roosakker (Kevin Staut). But there is more: the dam of a filly by Cumano son Corfu de la Vie is also dam to Laura Klaphake’s Camalita by Quinar. And lot no 29, Quebec by Q-Verdi-Caretino is a half-brother to the successful licensed sport stallion Quiwitino WZ (Felix Hassmann).
Collection Includes Four Dressage Foals As the elite auction sale aims to cater to friends of the Holsteiner dressage horse as well, the collection includes four aspirants for dressage by Franziskus, Vaderland, Callaho’s Benicio and Dynamic Dream, respectively. The most outstanding recommendation in this dressage lot is definitely lot no 22. On the dam’s side, the filly called Bella Donna by Benicio carries the most famous current Holsteiner dressage blood: Mira by Linaro, dam to Olympic travelling reserve Annabelle (Helen Langehanenberg) and licensed stallion De Chirico. “We are looking forward to an Elmshorn elite foal auction sale with loads to offer for both show jumping and dressage enthusiasts. Our breeders have provided us with their top foals of 2021 for this purpose and I greatly appreciate this“, Roland Metz is content to say.
