THE 2021 LOUDOUN BENEFIT HORSE SHOW
The Loudoun Benefit Horse Show began in 1951, running as a Junior and Pony Show for several decades. For many years at Glenwood Park in Middleburg Held, was among the many prestigious stops along with the Virginia show circuit. Show programs from years past read like a who’s who of modern-day professionals including Grand Prix rider Jeffrey Welles, seen below riding the 1977 Champion Small/Medium Green Pony.
After several relocations, Loudoun moved one final time to its current home at the Salem and Grafton Showgrounds in Upperville, VA in 2013. Held the week following the Upperville Colt & Horse Show on the same grounds, Loudoun has experienced tremendous growth each year offering USEF AA Rated hunters alongside an expanded jumper schedule. Recognized as a World Champion Hunter Rider Event, the five days of competition are also sanctioned by VHSA and MHSA.
