From
31 October to 2 November interested visitors from all around the
world, breeders, riders, and owners-to-be come together at the
Neumünster Holstenhalls. 68 colts have been admitted for stallion
grading, and 34 riding horses have been entered into the catalogue.
This
year's auction selection boasts highly interesting bloodlines yet
again. Of course there is Casall. The Caretino son shone at the
Herning European championships under Rolf-Göran Bengtsson recently
by winning team bronze and finishing fourth individually is
represented by no less than five 3-to 5-year-old mares and geldings.
And Casall's ability to leave his mark as a breeding stallion is
demonstrated by his offspring found on the result lists of national
and international jumping competitions weekend after
weekend.
Another international contender, also ridden by
Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, is Clarimo, which is represented by four
offspring at the 2013 autumn auction. Cento, team Olympic winner in
2000, Carthago, two times Olympic contender, Cornet Obolensky, the
sire of Cornet D'Amour, under Daniel Deußer best German horse at the
Herning European championships, are other high-profile stallions
represented by their offspring in the auction. "It took a lot of
work and effort to assemble an auction selection to such a high
standard. But I am happy to be able to present our clients with such
an outstanding auction selection" says Peter Glisic, who is in
charge of the auction. Several horses have already chalked up results
in competition, some of them even qualified for the Bundeschampionat.
Peter Glisic also points out that some "amateur horses"
with future S level potential have been entered into the
catalogue.
"We have also got some horses which might be
promising for hunter and equitation classes", says Peter
Glisic. De Londo by De Chirico-Lorentin I made headlines
last year for being the first ever dressage horse to become the
top-selling lot of the Neumünster Holsteiner auction. Also this year
the auction selection comprises two highly talented horses heading
for a future in the dressage arena by De Chirico-Cesano II and
Dolany-Limbus, respectively. "This two horses have promise for
the standard arena, are easily ridden and have a positive work
attitude", says Markus Suchalla, who is in charge of their
training.
Prospective buyers have ample opportunity to try out and
test the horses at the Holsteiner Verbande head office in Elmshorn.
As last year's practice to present the auction horses at Neumünster
in free jumping and under saddle proved successful, there is no
opportunity for prospective buyers to try out the horses at
Neumünster.
