Hengstschau Hof Sosath

2018-02-10T19:00:00+01:00 in Vechta / Germany

On Saturday, the 10th of February at 7 pm, Gerd Sosath will present his 20 breeding stallions and a selection of their offspring in the auction hall at Vechta. The stallion station operates under the slogan "Breeding and sport together in one place". The presentation will be broadcasted live via www.clipmyhorse.tv and Facebook. Tickets will be available in the box office

Gerd Sosath is looking forward to the event: "We show our new and proven sires. Many of them are home bred. To provide a better picture of the dam lines for our breeders, we show some of the dams and siblings.”

Seven stallions are new in the collection this year. Vagabond by Vagabond de la Pomme x C-Indoctro x Uniek was bought as a foal and has always been the leader of the group. He convinced the commission of the Oldenburg-International licensing last fall. The grey Cyber by Calido x Canturo was born at the Sosath stud, grew up with Vagabond and might be his biggest competitor in the stallion stable. Already six-years-old is Herakles. The jumper with Sosath’s favourite combination Catoki x Landor S became Vice Champion of the six-year-old KWPN stallion competition last weekend.

Three youngsters bring new dressage blood. The Hanoverian St. Patrick by Sezuan x St. Moritz and the Oldenburg horse Van Primero by Van Vivaldi x Stedinger convinced at their licensings and make a great job under saddle. The three-year-old Double Hit already caused a sensation as foal when he became the highest-priced foal of the Oldenburg Elite Auction. Already internationally successful is Spirit of the age OLD by Stedinger x Donnerhall. With Bernadette Brune in the saddle, he is the best Oldenburg dressage stallion at the moment and will be available via the Sosath stud.

Known to the breeders from the former years are the jumpers Cador, Casalido, Casino Berlin, Casino Grande, Casiro, Comme Prévu, Diamant de Landor, Diamant de Plaisir, Lyon and Ogano as well as the dressage stallions Devonport, Florenz, For Dance, Fürst Fabrice and Honoré du Soir.

The next event will be the Open Day at Easter Saturday, March 31st.
The 10th Lemwerder foal championship, stallion presentation and a great exhibition about horses, garden and lifestyle make this Open Day a trip for the whole family.
