Today's schedule for the Coachella Cup at the Desert International Horse Park:
First, the $32,000 1.45m FEI 2* Speed by Brainjuice has 56 starters.
The second class is the $182,000 1.55m FEI5* Qualifier by Visit Greater Palm Springs. McLain Ward of the U.S. won last year's CSI5* BRAINJAVA Major League Show Jumping Qualifier aboard the Oldenburg mare First Lady. The pair is one of 39 in the lineup of several top international show jumpers today.
More at stake in this year's Qualifier
This year's Qualifer purse is up from $62,500 in 2024, and FEI ranking points have increased as well. There are 130 FEI ranking points up for grabs for today's Qualifier, up from 80 FEI ranking points in 2024.

Callie Schott and Garant Fly To a Win in the MLSJ Palm Springs Grand Prix
U.S. Rider Callie Schott and her partner Garant did not hold back in the jump-off at Desert International Horse Park. She and Garant were rewarded with the victory in the $340,000 1.60m FEI 5* Grand Prix by GoRentals in Thermal, California. "I think that was the fastest I've ever gone in my life," Schott said. "It was really fun.
