Ireland's Philip McGuane on My Lady van de Krekel topped a lineup of 47 rider and horse combinations to win the two-phase $32,000 CSI3* 1.45m Power & Speed Thursday.
Philip and the eight-year-old mare was one of about half the starters to go clear but was the fastest with a jump off time of 36.3 secs.
Kristen Vanderveen of USA on the 10-year-old stallion Bull Run's Celestia was a close second on 36.41 secs.
Nayel Nassar of Egypt on the 12-year-old gelding Dorado de Riverland placed third a second further back.

Callie Schott and Garant Fly To a Win in the MLSJ Palm Springs Grand Prix
U.S. Rider Callie Schott and her partner Garant did not hold back in the jump-off at Desert International Horse Park.
