American Contenders Set for a Standout Presence at the 2025–2026 CHI de Genève

As winter settles across Europe, the world of elite showjumping turns its attention to one of the sport’s grandest and most iconic stages: the CHI de Genève. Long regarded as a pinnacle venue of the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping and a celebrated host of the FEI Driving World Cup™, Geneva draws many of the finest athletes in the world each season. The 2025–2026 edition is poised to uphold that legacy, with the United States preparing a compelling and competitive roster.

American participation spans both the CSI5* division and the Under-25 series, reflecting a healthy blend of veteran mastery and rising-star ambition. With established champions and an emerging talent making her Geneva debut, the U.S. contingent arrives ready to deliver memorable performances on Swiss soil.

A New Generation Emerges: Olivia Sweetnam Steps Into the Spotlight

Among the most anticipated young competitors is Olivia Sweetnam, representing the United States in the Under-25 division. As one of America’s brightest developing athletes, Sweetnam’s appearance in Geneva signals her growing presence on the international stage. The U25 series is designed to mirror senior-level intensity and complexity, offering promising riders the chance to grow under championship-like conditions.

For Sweetnam, the event provides both a learning opportunity and a proving ground. Competing alongside seasoned professionals in an atmosphere as electrifying as Palexpo allows her to refine her abilities, test her composure, and gain exposure at the highest level. Her thoughtful, precise riding style has already distinguished her among peers, and Geneva represents another step toward future senior team aspirations.

The Five-Star Forces: Experience Meets Ambition

While Sweetnam represents the next generation, the backbone of the American presence in Geneva lies within its CSI5* roster—four riders whose international accomplishments and depth of talent have cemented their place among the nation’s elite.

Karl Cook: Thoughtful, Technical, and Always a Threat

Known for his analytical approach and calm execution, Karl Cook brings two powerful mounts—Candy and Caracole de la Roque—into the Geneva 5* field. Cook’s ability to study and strategize his way through demanding courses has earned him noteworthy successes across the world stage. Geneva’s famously technical tracks suit his methodical style, making him a strong candidate for top finishes throughout the week.

Kent Farrington: The American Powerhouse Returns

Kent Farrington, one of the most recognized names in modern showjumping, once again arrives with the horsepower and experience to dominate. Entering the ring with Greya and Toulayna, Farrington showcases his signature blend of speed, accuracy, and competitive instinct. His ability to deliver under pressure, paired with his track record of success at the world’s biggest shows, makes him one of the most closely watched American riders at this year’s edition.

Lillie Keenan: A Blend of U.S. Grit and European Refinement

Lillie Keenan brings a wealth of European experience and technically refined riding into the Geneva 5* division, accompanied by Argan de Beliard and Fasther. Keenan is known for her balance, precision, and emotional intelligence as a rider—qualities that often shine in the intensity of indoor competition. Her continued development on the world stage has made her one of America’s most steadily rising stars, and Geneva offers yet another opportunity to showcase that growth.

Kyle King: Determined, Experienced, and Ready for Big Tracks

Completing the U.S. 5* contingent is Kyle King with Kayenne Z, a pairing built on trust and grit. King’s career has been defined by his ability to develop strong connections with his horses and to deliver determined, consistent performances in difficult venues. His experience on major international tracks positions him well for the challenges Geneva is known to present.

A Stage Set for American Success

With a roster that blends youthful promise, established expertise, and exceptional horsepower, the United States enters the CHI de Genève with one of the event’s most well-rounded and competitive delegations. The show’s signature combination of drama, elegance, and world-class sport creates a backdrop perfectly suited for standout performances.

As the Swiss leg of the Rolex Grand Slam unfolds and the FEI Driving World Cup™ energizes the atmosphere, the American athletes will be under the spotlight. Whether through Olivia Sweetnam’s emerging presence or the seasoned strength of Cook, Farrington, Keenan, and King, the U.S. team promises to bring excitement, intensity, and high-level sport to one of the world’s most revered equestrian stages.
