Final Leg, Week Two of MLSJ Begins Today in California

Week two of the final leg (Leg 7) of Major League Show Jumping begins today as part of the Palm Springs Horse Show in Thermal, California. First up at the Desert International Horse Park is the $1,000 1.40m FEI 5* Normal Two Pase, with 56 entries. The second class is the $5,000 1.40m FEI2* Two Phase Special by Dutta Corp., with 32 entries. ClipMyHorse.TV is broadcasting live from California. Find out more HERE.

A few winners from last week are in the lineup

Two of the top three placings from the $1,000 1.40m FEI 5* Normal Two Phase last week are entered- Kerri Potter and Kalima van de Nethe Z, last week's winner, and Aaron Vale with Messbluecento PS, who finished third. Vale is also entered with Carissimo 25. There are several American returnees for week two, including Charlotte Jacobs, Laura Kraut, Stella Wasserman, and Skylar Wireman, as well as Ireland's Conor Swail and Nina Mallevaey of France.

Of the 32 entries for the $5,000 1.40m FEI2* Two Phase Special, only one of last week's top three finishers is entered - Aaron Vale and Chutter du Rouet PS, who finished third. Vale is also entered with Tulara Cascara. Fellow U.S. riders Laura Kraut and McLain Ward are entered in this class as well.

  • Callie Schott and Garant Fly To a Win in the MLSJ Palm Springs Grand Prix

    U.S. Rider Callie Schott and her partner Garant did not hold back in the jump-off at Desert International Horse Park. She and Garant were rewarded with the victory in the $340,000 1.60m FEI 5* Grand Prix by GoRentals in Thermal, California. "I think that was the fastest I've ever gone in my life," Schott said. "It was really fun.
