UAE's Omar Abdul Aziz Al Marzooqi Qualifies for FEI World Cup™ Finals

Young show jumper to compete among the world's best in Basel in 2025

Omar Abdul Aziz Al Marzooqi from the UAE has qualified for the 45th FEI World Cup™ Finals, finishing second in the Arab League Middle East standings. He will be one of 42 athletes from 23 countries competing for the title of 2025 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Champion, taking place from April 2nd to 6th, 2025, in Basel. Al Marzooqi, 21, will ride his Olympic horse, Enjoy de la Mure. In the past 18 months, he has achieved several milestones, including being named the Longines FEI Rising Star.


Currently ranked 102nd in the Longines world rankings and 5th in U25 rankings, he has represented the UAE at the 2024 Paris Olympics and the 2023 Asian Games, winning a silver medal and a team bronze. He also won silver at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires. Al Marzooqi expressed pride in being the only Emirati from the Arab League to qualify and thanked various dignitaries for their support, particularly Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan for her contributions to equestrian development in the UAE. His preparations will continue as he competes in Saut Hermes in Paris ahead of the finals in Basel!
