A First for Germany: ESI Launches Exclusive Online Auction for Hunter and Equitation Horses

Lastrup, Germany – May 2025 – A groundbreaking event is set to make waves in the European sport horse scene: From June 7–9, 2025, Elite Sales International (ESI) will host “Stars and Stripes,” Germany’s first-ever online auction dedicated exclusively to Hunter and Equitation horses. This innovative format marks a significant milestone, offering U.S. buyers direct access to carefully selected European talent trained specifically for the American show ring.

The concept was brought to life by the prestigious Zuchthof Klatte, in partnership with international equine marketing experts HORSESCOUTING, under the direction of Patrick Döller. Behind the initiative are two seasoned horsemen: Henrik Klatte and Patrick Döller—both with decades of experience in breeding, training, and marketing top-level sport horses. With this auction, they are combining their expertise to serve the evolving needs of the North American market.

The curated collection features 24 hand-picked horses between the ages of four and ten, all selected for their suitability in the Hunter and Equitation disciplines. Each horse has been either specifically trained for or displays the natural aptitude required to excel in U.S. rings. Rideability, expression, and quality were the top priorities in the selection process.
