The International "Pfingstturnier" in Wiesbaden's Palace Park
Tradition
within reach - for the 78th time, the International Wiesbaden
"Pfingstturnier" unites modern fast-paced equestrian sport with the
historic backdrop. Allow yourself to be inspired, relax in the shade of
old trees and enjoy colourful happenings - or cheer on your stars in the
dressage or jumping arenas.
The International Wiesbaden
"Pfingstturnier" invites the world's best riders in four disciplines and
all horse lovers to enjoy four days of exciting sport, entertaining
shows and an extensive shopping area - it is a social family event
located in front of the beautiful Wiesbaden palace.
Since 1929,
the tournament has taken place annually at "Pfingsten", Pentecost, and
since 1949 in the Wiesbaden-Biebrich Palace Park, a cultural monument.
It counts as one of the most traditional equestrian events worldwide.
From the very beginning the most successful riders of the world
participated in the famous horse show in Wiesbaden. For example,
Hans-Günther Winkler and his legendary mare Halla won the first "Grand
Prix" in the park. Isabell Werth holds the Wiesbaden Grand Prix Special
record with ten victories and in 2011 the Three Day Eventing world
champion Michael Jung secured his third consecutive victory in the
international 3* eventing competition.
